NIU Hosts Coast Guard Academy Cadets for Campus Visit

On 14 February, NIU played host to a delegation of students and faculty visiting Washington, DC from the United States Coast Guard Academy in Groton, CT. The visit included a tour of the Defense Intelligence Agency Headquarters, as well as an opportunity to meet with current NIU students and faculty. The Coast Guard is well represented in the NIU student body: some top performing USCG officers and enlisted members are assigned for full-time study in the master's or bachelor's program; others attend part-time in the evenings or on weekends while assigned to the national capital region.
