Making Intelligence Education More Accessible: NIU Opens Academic Center in Quantico
(Oct 8, 2014) Classes at the Quantico Academic Center began at the start of the 2014-2015 academic year in late August and there are already 33 students from 13 different organizations enrolled in either the Master of Science of Strategic Intelligence degree or graduate certificate program. Students attend classes in the evenings, making this new academic center convenient for intelligence professionals who live or work in the Quantico, Va., region.

NIU Promotes Multinational Security Cooperation (Oct 3, 2014) The National Intelligence University recently participated in the seventh annual Asia Pacific Intelligence Chiefs Conference (APICC), conducted in Dhaka, Bangladesh. APICC is a forum for senior military intelligence chiefs from the Indo-Asia-Pacific region to network and build relationships to strengthen trust and aid in security cooperation in the intelligence arena. NIU's Center for International Engagement provided an academic display booth to advertise its educational programs.

Three Retired NIU Faculty Return to Campus to be Recognized as Emeriti
(Sep 4, 2014) During NIU's recent convocation ceremony, which highlighted leadership in the intelligence community as a central theme of the academic year, NIU took the opportunity to honor three former faculty leaders as faculty emeriti, joining eight others recognized last year for academic excellence and contributions to student achievement and learning, advancement of knowledge, and service in their academic fields and the IC.
